About the club

Oxford University Netball Club (OUNC) unites players from across the University through a shared passion for the sport, built on the values of inclusivity, development, excellence, and community. Our teams train and compete at the Iffley Road sports complex, with access to indoor courts alongside strength and conditioning facilities. Netball at Oxford is open to all students, with opportunities ranging from the University squads to the lively College league system.

OUNC fields five competitive teams: the Blues (1st VII), Cobalts (2nd VII), Midnights (3rd VII), Electrics (4th VII), and Sapphires (5th VII). These squads compete in BUCS leagues and local fixtures throughout the season, all working towards the highlight of the year - the Varsity Matches against Cambridge. Hosting alternates each season between Oxford and Cambridge, with every team competing in its own fiercely contested Varsity fixture.

The club also provides development opportunities and match play for players of all abilities, ensuring every member can improve their skills, enjoy competitive netball, and be part of Oxford's proud sporting heritage. Whether wearing the Blues dress or representing your College, you'll be part of a vibrant, competitive, and welcoming community.

Inter-college & Cuppers

Netball runs inter-college leagues and an annual inter-college cup. We currently have 5 leagues running during the Michaelmas and Hilary terms and teams can include boys and girls, giving everyone a chance to shine.

In Trinity term, there is a girls-only Cuppers tournament. There is also a Mixed Cuppers tournament, run by the OUNC Social Secretary with the focus on having fun during the hectic summer term.
