OUAFC - footballing opportunities for everyone at Oxford

There are a number of opportunities to play football while at Oxford. Football is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Football. The club welcomes more experienced players looking to play competitively while the college program is one of the largest in the country and gives everyone the opportunity to play, no matter what level you play at.
Founded in 1872, and playing its first game against Radley College on 10th February of that year, Oxford University Association Football Club is one of the University's oldest and most prestigious clubs. Oxford played in the FA Cup from 1872-1880, reaching the final five times including in its first season and winning the trophy in 1874 with a 2-0 victory over the Royal Engineers at Kennington Oval.
The club boasts 3 men’s teams and 3 women’s teams, with the men's 1s, 2s, and 3s and women's 1s and 2s competing in BUCS. Our women's 3s operate as a development squad - open to all levels of football experience and accommodating those wanting a more casual commitment schedule. The highlight of the year is the annual Blues Varsity and Reserves Varsity matches where our teams face off against Cambridge's teams.
Football has one of the most extensive college leagues and cuppers programs at Oxford. Most colleges have multiple men's and women's teams. There are a number of divisions in JCR, MCR and Women's football. The league season runs throughout Michaelmas and Hilary terms, with the cuppers competition running throughout the league season. The cuppers final is held at the Iffley Road Sports centre and can be a highlight for many players college football experiences.
