About the club

Handball is played in an indoor court between two teams, of seven players each. The players' objective is, by only using their hands, to throw the ball into the goal of the opposing team, thereby scoring a "goal". The team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. Handball is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Handball.

The Oxford University Handball Club (OUHaC) was founded in 2001 and has since then been going from strength to strength, also entering external competitions such as the English National League and the British Cup.

OUHaC is a member of the England Handball Association (EHA) and the British Handball Association (BHA). OUHaC is also a founding member of the Association of British University Handball Clubs (ABUHC).

We currently have 2 men's teams and 1 women's team. Both of the first teams are playing in the South Premier league and the men's second team is in the South Regional League. The club enters both a men's and women's team into BUCS.

The club actively seeks to promote handball at the University of Oxford and in the UK. We are therefore always looking for new players at all levels for both our men's and women's teams, so please get in touch! OUHaC is also open to non-university members.
