About the club

Pistol shooting is a sport that demands exceptional concentration and a strong mental approach. Pistol is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Pistol.

The Pistol Club is a fun and sociable discretionary full blue sport, with a history stretching back to the 19th century. We shoot Olympic-style air pistols 2-3 times a week, and have regular trips to local ranges to fire gallery rifles or muzzle-loading pistols. Almost everyone in our club learned to shoot at with us so beginners are welcome. There are opportunities to compete against Cambridge in an annual Varsity.

The club has a range of sessions in the cricket school at Oxford University Sport on Thursday evening, Sunday morning and on Tuesday.
