Freestyle kickboxing is practised by the club at Oxford, incorporating elements of fitness, self-defence, competitions, personal development and fun. Kickboxing is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Kickboxing.

The club is open to all levels of experience, including beginners, and welcomes members of the local community. Our instructor is Master Jan Treska, a British and European Kickboxing Champion.

We have training sessions available every week of the year; please check our website for the most up to date timetable. There are opportunities to compete in an annual Varsity match and in other external competitions.

Blues criteria

Mixed

Half Blue

Half Blues will be awarded to individuals who: 

  1. Show good commitment to training throughout the year according to the coach’s discretion; 
  2. Regular participation in sparring sessions in regular classes; 
  3. Obligatory participation in competition training sessions run for fighting squad only; 
  4. Participation in at least one additional competition, such as Cuppers and Town vs. Gown; 
  5. Participation in Varsity; 
  6. Have graded at least a yellow belt.
