Equestrian is more commonly referred to as horse riding.

About the club

Equestrian is more commonly referred to as horse riding. It refers to the skill and sport of riding, driving, steeplechasing or vaulting with horses. Equestrian is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquires from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of our activities. At Oxford, we most commonly take part in showjumping and dressage competitions.

OUEC has competitive first, second and third teams competing in BUCS leagues and Varsity matches. In previous years talented teams and individuals have competed at the prestigious BUCS National Championships and represented GB on the student riders team.

OUEC is also the perfect way to brush up your riding skills whilst at university with a chance to get a full blue for members of the first team, or a fantastic opportunity to learn to ride for the first time. We are very fortunate to be able to run weekly lessons for our members at affordable rates.

Inter-college & Cuppers

Equestrain cuppers is open to complete beginners all the way up to first team members. The competition consists of a dressage test followed by a showjumping round and usually takes place at the end of Trinity term. To get involved simply email us or get in contact with one of our friendly members.
