About the club

Archery is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Archery. The club competes in an annual Varsity match with Cambridge and against other universities at both a regional level (TOUCAN) and nationally at BUCS, performing well. There are also opportunities to compete at an inter-college level.

OUCofA is the archery club of Oxford University and membership is open to everyone studying or working at the University (students from Oxford Brookes and community members are also welcome). We have practice sessions several times a week, at Iffley road during Michaelmas and Hilary and at Pembroke College Sports Ground in Trinity. We run a structured beginner's course in Michaelmas Term but welcome members with prior experience in the sport year-round. The first team is very competitive at the national level, regularly making the top 5 at BUCS. There are also many opportunities for those of all standards to compete as well - from County level and higher, to complete beginners.

We currently have well over 100 members and are always keen to welcome new members.

Inter-college & Cuppers

Want to feel a bit like Robin Hood and win eternal glory for your college? You've come to the right place! Even if you've never touched a bow before, you're very welcome to come, the club will provide all equipment and coaching beforehand to make sure the only thing you hit is the target. To make things more balanced, beginners will be able to shoot at much shorter distances.

If you are interested in competing at cuppers please contact your college sports rep or a member of the Archery Club.
